Few days back I was invited to Hilton KL to further discuss and involve in their upcoming special project together with France Embassy. It was all initiated by one of our top blogger friends Sidney Kan and Bel from KL Hilton. It was a dinner discussion and we had fabulous time together (with 2 of Malaysia Top Emcee's Tjek & Zsarina) at their Chinese Restaurant called Chynna. Kuala Lumpur: StarMetro, Tuesday 16th March 2010: Upcoming Stylo, the fashion event leading to the 12th Malaysian F1 Grand Prix season with event themed "Fashion to Art, Art to Fashion : The 7 Deadly Sins" is all about environment-conscious fashion and art featuring the works of more than 70 fashion designers and 100 artists. Carven Ong is flanked by beauties: Miss World Malaysia 2009/2010 Thanuja Ananthan & Miss World Malaysia 2008/2009 Soo Wincci at the MOU signing ceremony held recently at Pavilion KL. This year, Carven is making his appearance at STYLO fashion marathon with his latest collection.

18th Anniversary Celebration

On 11th Dec 2001, Carven Ong celebrated his 18th years in the industry of fashion and education at Prince Hotel with a full house of 600 guests, by far the biggest celebration night ever held by a local designer. Carven made his debut in 1991 through MODA Wanita Fashion Show and quickly rose to prominence as a designer to watch. His high spirit and passion in fashion has led him to what he is today - a principle, prominent designer and an entrepreneur.

The highlight of the night is Carven's Spring/Summer 2010 Collection fashion show as well as his next generation of young designer Graduation Show. The Spring/Summer collection is called "Snacas' Spell" (Snaca old English word of 'snake') - an inspiration like mimicking human mutating into cold-blooded creatures: a tiny step toward the dark side. The long evening gowns are electrifying sexy and elegant with the snake design coil around the heads, clasping through waist, entwined on body and throats as a symbol of Eve's temptation and of elegance, as it's seen in Greek mythology.
